Today’s Daily Prompt: When was the last time you walked away from a discussion, only to think of The Perfect Comeback hours later? Recreate the scene for us, and use your winning line.
Walk away before I’ve thought of the perfect comeback?? Not on your life!
I don’t care if we’re standing there for 10 minutes.
If we’re standing there for thirty minutes.
If I have to follow you to your car.
If I have to pick the kids up from school with you.
If I have to invite myself around for dinner.
If I have to sleep in your dog’s kennel.
If I have to drive you to work in the morning.
I am NOT leaving your side until that perfect comeback has entered my head.
So if you pick a war of words with me…
You better hope I am having a sharp day.
Love it!
Thanks Alicia! Appreciate it. 🙂
Haha awesome! And somewhat creepy 😛
Yeah I did go a little sinister there didn’t I? I may have to make the next post all sweet and innocent to counter this one a bit. Haha.
Haha maybe. Just a little 😛

awe…beautifully written dear
Thank you, Kavita. Very nice of you to say.
your welcome dear…I love the title for this
I’m saying nothing. Too scared.:)x
Haha! Now I feel a bit mean. 😦
My wips are sealed.:)x
I shall be very careful with my words here … be very afraid. LOL
Haha! Do not fear, Shirley. I am a pussycat, really. Even when I was trying to be menacing I was still in essence offering people lifts to work and sleeping outside as to unburden them slightly. I would make a terrible villain. 😦
But I do know what you mean though. As you have read with my “Power of Words” – words can wound or heal, they can inspire or paralyse. How we use our words will create impact, and has consequences. That said, I always wish that I had a great come back to those people who insult others and use words to put down others. Haha
hahaha nice one! 😀
