About

This blog is about nothing. It is basically the Seinfeld of blogs. It is influenced by whimsy, eclecticism and anything that sparks my mind while I’m near a computer. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for reading.

    • Haha! No, I am hideously mysterious. It tends to be an ‘all or nothing’ approach from me.

I may have to produce a post one day that details the complete me. I like a little mystery though.

  1. In the ‘all or nothing’ scheme of things, you’ve obviously chosen ‘nothing’. Fair enough – enjoy your piece of ‘mystery’. I can’t talk though. I’m all about ‘black & white’ – no grey for me πŸ™‚

    • I think in the past giving all of myself as lead to others becoming bored. Then a subconscious decision of hiding a little bit to keep intrigue must have kicked in. I know it is a bad habit, and one I am trying to break. I’ll get there. I suppose awareness is the first step.

  2. Your introduction made me laugh! Good stuff! Sort of tongue in cheek reticence! I think it works, too, because, human nature being what it is (a nosy old git, basically), everyone is going to be agog to find out more!

    • Thank you Alie! To me a laugh is the ultimate compliment. So it’s great to hear that. And I like how you put that… “Tongue in cheek reticence” probably sums me up magnificently. No doubt all that know me would agree. I was hoping it provided more intrigue than it stripped. Wasn’t sure though. Either way, it’s basically just me. I didn’t over-think it too much, and wanted to keep that intro simple and accessible. Thanks heaps again, your comment meant a lot!

  3. Indeed, an (good) interesting mix in your posts. Congratulations of your first blogging award. I suspect more will arrive. And to your personal admission, one gets the sense that you likely, aren’t “boring.” Look forward to more of your eclectic posts, sans the Fat Albert quips. πŸ™‚

    • Thank you kindly, Eric. Very nice of you to say all that. I get a bit giddy when people admit to appreciating my posts. I’m very grateful. And as a favor, I shall endeavor not to ever talk about my Fat Albert-esque quips again. Haha.

    • My pleasure! Quite an inspiring blog you’ve got over there. You can bet I’ll continue checking in with it and keeping up with all the wisdom you have to offer! πŸ™‚

  4. Funny intro and about page…which speaks volumes, at least to me. Thanks for the visit to my blog. I’ve enjoyed yours so far…

  5. I have quickly browsed through your posts and got a feeling that they all resonate with me…I will read one by one and share my thoughts…keep up the good work friend…get to great connected πŸ™‚

    • Thank you immensely, Sayantan. That’s very nice of you, and I would be ecstatic to see you get something out of my posts. A pleasure to connect with you also. I felt the same way about your blog by the way. It is wonderful. πŸ™‚

    • My pleasure! I love your view of things. Absolutely I appreciate your posts and all you have to say. I am certainly a fan and your blog is one of a few that I keep up with routinely. Thanks for stopping by mine. πŸ™‚

  6. This is cracking me up, EJ, as I feel the same way about your About page as you do about mine, subbing in the word “nothing” for “food”! Had I known your posts were about nothings, I would’ve been here ages ago. Love that I’m going to be reading about whimsical and eclectic nothings. Will admit to never really getting Seinfeld, but am thinking I’ll like it here.

    • Thanks very much, Liz. Nice of you to say. I’m very glad you are here now, and fear not, getting Seinfeld is certainly not a prerequisite to liking my blog… I hope. Thanks again, make yourself at home!

  8. NEW MAN!

Haha. Loved that show, especially Kramer and Elaine. Though George’s Worlds Colliding was pretty damn funny.

Glad you found me so that I could find you. Dave Matthews fans are the best. Smartest, nicest, best-looking, generous… Shall I go on? Lol. We rock.

    Nice to meet you! Christy

    • Yes, Kramer was always my favourite! Then add to the fact that the kids at school occasionally called me Kramer (I was very tall, with whacky hair and a bit of an odd-ball) and I felt a certain affinity to him for sure.

Very glad I found you too! Your musical tastes are sensational! So much good to listen to on your blog, and I love how you write about it all. And as you say, yes indeed, Dave Matthews fans are most definitely the bees knees. Hehe. An absolute pleasure to meet you, Christy!

  11. Hi! I enjoy discovering compelling music from across the globe…I smiled at your mention of Alabama Shakes. I hope that band goes the distance because they are so young and scary good already.

    • Hey Eric! I’ll be back in the fold shortly. I have been playing catchup with Uni assignments since I got back from my trip. Once caught up there will be posts and updates everywhere!
